My Love: Heart Strings
The human heart is a complex entanglement of muscle and tendons. It creates a sense of continuity between the unlikely pairing of solids and fluids to bring life to its keeper. Yet it serves another function. It expresses a sense of affect that may be more subtle than the human mind can process. It gives us feeling when our brains cannot bear to craft a thought…..and in such a way it stands witness to our follies and gives voice to the unseen connection between all of us. Our heart strings may mechanically serve to prevent prolapse, but more importantly, they serve to tie each of us together.
When he first looked up to the mysterious pulses of light dancing across the sky he felt something that his mind had no tools to handle. He was amazed, scared, but above all, deeply moved……instantly in love. It was something that he was not prepared for, but he know that what he saw actually and inexplicably loved him back. Across time and unfathomable distance, neither of which he really had any notion of, he was bound to what he saw. His heart strings were tugged towards the sky.
